A preppy pet doesn’t have to be the most expensive pet in your inventory. For this list, we’re choosing soft colors, cute shapes and pets that work with a clear outfit theme. Unicorn is a good place to start for pastels; Strawberry Shortcake Bat Dragon is our pick for a strawberry-and-cream look.
“Preppy” is a player style label, not an official Adopt Me rarity. These are our design picks, rather than a ranking of trade demand. The pictures below show regular forms, so use them to compare the base designs.

Best for a simple pastel theme. The white body and colorful mane give you a light starting point without needing a detailed outfit.
Pick it if you like pink or rainbow accents but don’t want the pet to overwhelm everything else. A regular Unicorn can already do that job; you don’t need a Mega just to make the theme work.

Best for a softer farm look. The black-and-white pattern works with cream, pink or neutral accessories. It also gives a pastel outfit a bit of contrast.
Choose the Cow for its shape and markings, rather than assuming a lower rarity label means a lower trade cost. Compare the exact form before putting together an offer.

Best for a strawberry theme. The pink-red and cream design already looks like part of a matching set. You can build an outfit around those colors instead of adding every cute accessory you own.
This is the one to compare if you want the pet to be the main feature. Its long name is usually shortened to SSBD.

Best for warm dessert colors. Brown and cream give it a different feel from the pink-heavy picks. It works well if your outfit uses tan, chocolate or soft neutral shades.
If both dessert dragons appeal to you, our SSBD vs CCBD comparison helps you choose between them without mixing up their variants.

Best for a fairy outfit. The pale design and decorative wings make it a good match for a light fantasy theme.
Pick it when you want wings and detail to carry the look. Keep accessories fairly simple so the pet’s own design stays visible.

Best for a fluffy pink look. Its round shape gives you a softer alternative to the Bat Dragons. Choose it if a small, playful pet fits your outfit better than a winged dragon.
It also works as a pink theme on its own. Try the base design first before deciding that you need a different form.
If your outfit is mostly pink, start with Unicorn, Candyfloss Chick or SSBD. For brown and cream, compare CCBD. If you switch outfits often, Cow’s clear black-and-white pattern is easier to pair with several color schemes.
Those are style suggestions, so your own taste gets the final say. Save two or three pictures you like and compare them beside your avatar. A pet you enjoy using is a better choice than a supposedly “best” pet that doesn’t fit your look.
Compare the actual form you want. A picture of a regular pet doesn’t show everything about its Neon look, and a Mega’s changing colors may suit a different outfit from a fixed palette.
Fly and Ride are separate from that appearance choice. FR means Fly Ride, NFR means Neon Fly Ride, and MFR means Mega Neon Fly Ride. Read both the form and the abilities on the listing, rather than treating every version of the same species as interchangeable.
If you’d rather raise your own, our Neon-making guide explains the four-pet requirement and how abilities carry over. Don’t collect four copies until you’ve checked that you want the finished look.
Set a total you’re comfortable with, then compare the same form and abilities across your shortlist. A regular no-potion pet and a Mega Fly Ride pet aren’t a fair price comparison, even when both use the same species name.
The selected variant controls what you’re choosing and what it costs. Check the current listing and final total, and leave out optional extras if the pet itself already gives you the style you wanted.
Selections are Exoticloot’s editorial opinions based on the regular pet artwork in our catalog. Pet forms and abilities were checked against Uplift Games’ Neon guide. Catalog links checked 22 October 2026.
