SSBD vs CCBD in Adopt Me: Looks, Forms & Which to Choose

By Exoticloot · Published 22 October 2026 · Facts checked 22 October 2026

SSBD means Strawberry Shortcake Bat Dragon. CCBD means Chocolate Chip Bat Dragon. Choose SSBD for a pink-red and cream theme, or CCBD for a warmer brown-and-cream look. For a trade or price comparison, match the same form and Fly/Ride abilities first.

SSBD: a strawberry-and-cream design with pink-red details. This is the one to start with if you want a bright dessert theme or a pet that stands out against a pale outfit.

Regular, Neon and Mega aren’t interchangeable

Start by deciding which form you want to own. A regular SSBD and a Mega CCBD differ in both species and form, so their price gap wouldn’t tell you the species difference on its own.

A useful shortlist has matching labels: regular versus regular, NFR versus NFR, or MFR versus MFR. If one pet is no-potion and the other can Fly and Ride, keep that difference visible when you compare them.

LabelWhat it saysWhat it doesn’t tell you
FRFly and Ride abilitiesIt doesn’t mean Neon.
NFRNeon, Fly and RideIt doesn’t confirm Luminous age.
MFRMega Neon, Fly and RideIt doesn’t identify the species by itself.

If you plan to make a Neon, you need four of the same species. Two SSBDs and two CCBDs won’t make a mixed dessert dragon. Our Neon pet guide explains the recipe and how Fly/Ride abilities transfer.

Which is worth more: SSBD or CCBD?

That needs a dated comparison of the same variants on one value list. The shared Legendary rarity doesn’t prove they’re worth the same, and a higher store price doesn’t prove what another player will offer in a trade.

Before using a calculator, choose the full species name, the form and the potion state for both sides. If you’re adding another pet to an offer, include it separately. Don’t compare a no-potion regular SSBD with an MFR CCBD and describe the result as a simple strawberry-versus-chocolate gap.

Use a current community value source you and the other trader both accept, then check that the selected variants are right. A comparison from last month may no longer describe today’s offers.

For shopping, open the SSBD listing and CCBD listing, choose matching forms and compare the displayed prices. A variable product’s starting price isn’t a quote for every option on the page.

Which one should you choose?

Pick SSBD if the strawberry colors are the main reason you want the pet. It fits naturally into the pink side of our preppy pets selection.

Pick CCBD if you prefer warmer colors or already use brown, cream and tan accessories. Its look gives you a different theme without needing a Mega version to make it interesting.

If you like both equally, compare what the exact versions cost you now and choose the one you’d still enjoy keeping if future trade values changed. Age, abilities and form should be deliberate choices, rather than surprises after you’ve agreed.
